Replacing the front tires on a 2008 G35 6MT

Mbonus:
If you are thinking of going with 225/45/18 on the front tires why don't you upgrade to Michelin Pilot Sports?
I would think that these tires would give the enhanced summer performance over the Bridgestones considering they come stock on most high end sports cars and the new Cadillac with the sports package.
I remember reading in Car and Driver or Road and Track that the CTS had slightly more grip and out braked the G35 sport, even though it is 300+ pounds more. This was largely attributed to the tires, I wonder if grip would improve if the Pilots are fitted to the G35?
Can anyone else add to this? If so chime in!
