Oh...now I understand. When I saw your post above, thought YOU had bought some Asymmetrics too; now I understand you were answering on my behalf (impressive memory skills btw )

Quick mini review - Dry performance: The Goodyear Eagle F1's are specified as Ultra High Performance All Season tires. This can be very misleading as their dry performance in 60-75 degree weather is no where near the performance provided by the OEM Bridgestones. In cornering around on/off ramps while they do perform well, they do not instill the same level of confidence provided by the stock Bridgestones. I find the F1's to have the same level of noise as my stock Bridgestones with 20k miles on them. They aren't intrusive at all. Ride quality on the F1's also falls short in comparison to the stock rubber. I find this particular subject a mixed bag. On the highway they ride smooth and ride quality is excellent, but on rough roads and railroad tracks the F1's are extremely rough. I would attribute this to their stiff sidewalls. I would describe the ride similar to installing aftermarket shocks and springs. Many people rave about the F1's wet performance. Many of these people also had issues with the Bridgestones in wet conditions even to the point of hydroplaning. I myself have found the stock rubber to be fairly decent in wet conditions, but admittedly I haven't driven through any standing water conditions to test this aspect or performance.

I have had the Eagle F1 All-Seasons for over a year and 3 months now and just hate them Initially they were fine - handled decently and the noise was not too bad but not with just about 15k miles on them, they slip if the conditions are not ideal on acceleration - this is not even hard accelaration... Its sad that I have to keep the car under 4K to keep it driveable with these tires. Cornering performance is much worse and the ride quality is terrible.

Time get back to the Potenzas.

After close to a year on the G'year F1 Asymmetrics, I can report:
  1. Decent wear so far on the front
  2. Crazy fast wear on the rears - they were replaced under warranty after about 8k miles. Might have been an atypical problem though, the wear pattern was weird (see my other thread)
  3. They are getting a bit noiser now, but traction in wet and dry is still good.
