spacer suggestions

im looking for spacers for my G.

i saw that there are pre studded ones, and ones with extended studs.
im more interested in the pre-studded ones.

what size should i go with to make it look better. im guessing 10mm...would i be able to go 15mm?

here are my specs.

19x8
5x114.3/120 et40

245/40/19

thanks for your help

I think 15mm is the smallest you can go c/w lugs.
If it gets too narrow, there is not enough meat to support the lugs.

It depends on your offsets for selection.
With OE you can definitely go 15mm, but IDK with your TSWs.
& def get a set with a hub.

e.g. Ichiba V2

So, these can be used without swapping out the stock lugs?

I received a set of 5MM spacers when I ordered my wheels, but they're just crappy thin pieces of white metal that I don't dare use.
I like these if I can use them on the stock lugs.
Also, there's no worry of those little flush nuts loosening up over time?

With that offset you should be safe with 15 mm spacers. I have the stock sport wheels and have 20 mm spacers all around and they are pretty close to flush. FYI... You can get very nice hubcentric spacers on eBay with the studs aready in them for $75 / pair on eBay.... that's where I got mine... have had them installed for a couple of months with no problems whatsoever. They reduce the offset of the factory wheels by pushing the wheels out slightly to give it a more flush look. Spacer's are a good alternative to improve the look of your car without the expense of aftermarket wheels. Just make sure not to go overboard, otherwise you could have clearance issues and / or put excessive torque on your wheel bearings.

spacers make the wheels stand out more....give it more space as you can see in my pictures they are tucked under the car and i want them to be even with the wheel well.

and i guess the increase safety this is what i found from the ichiba site.

Version II wheel spacers are made from Aluminum/Magnesium alloy. They are incredibly strong and very lightweight. Each wheel spacers are two pieces design with pressed studs. Now it's time to bolt-on without any swap studs hassles. These are hubcentric spacers that is specifically made to each vehicle; will fitted on your vehicle's original hub perfectly without any gap. Wheel spacers move the wheel out from the hub, effectively widening the stance of the vehicle and lowering its roll center. This simple modification increases lateral stability, which in turn provides improved handling & greater safety.

Careful on the ebay ones... I've heard stories about some being low quality. Some of the cheaper ones may not be 100% true and can cause the wheels to wobble a bit.

Stick with name brands on ebay whenever possible.

I'd say for your 8" wide +40mm offset wheels and your drop, a 20mm spacer would be the most flush, but I don't know if you're aiming for the super flush look (because some ppl prefer not to have a flush look with narrow rims).

go with 15mm.. or 20 if you want to push it, 20 could definitely fit.

As long as they are hubcentric you should be fine. I've bought several sets of wheels spacers off eBay and have never had a problem with any of them. Just make sure to test fit them on the hub of your car and make sure there isn't any play before installing them.

Yeah, no problem... 15mm is definitely as thick as I would go in the front.. anything wider than that on your wheels (with only 40 mm offset already) and it won't look good IMO.

^ I have the stock 7.5" up front with the same 45 mm offset and used 20 mm spacers and they are nearly perfect. For the rear, I would go with 25 mm, since your wheels are only 7.5" wide in the rear and mine's a sport model with the 8.5 inchers in the rear. You can take a look at the thread I posted earlier for before and after pics of my car with the spacers.
