Tanabe NF210 Lowering Springs
Tanabe NF210 Lowering Springs
Anyone know of anyone using the Tanabe NF210 springs on their G? I'm thinking of getting these instead of Eibach's since they only lower the car sbout 1" and have almost the same spring rates as the stock springs, so the ride will be very close to stock.
Any input or pics you might have would be greatly appreciated.
Here's a link to the springs:

The spring rates are only 5% higher than stock, so they should be a great compliment to the factory shocks. That's one of the reasons I'm considering these... They offer a slightly lower drop than the IMPUL's, have very reasonable spring rates (like the IMPUL's), and are about a 1/3 the price of the IMPUL's!
Lowering springs will affect shocks and struts after years of use.
Even the H&R springs wouldn't damage them quickly.
I know people with the same amount of drop as the H&R's on different cars ranging from 1st gen sedans, coupes, bmw and etc. for more than a couple years with no problems.
IvoryPearl07G has had them on for a year and a half with no problems along with other members. (although of course they speed up the process but thats only marginally.)
Some people are just unlucky and have bad shocks which fail due to the added pressure. Then they end up blaming the springs.
Hey Adrian, you remember at the Irvine Meet I had my 2 hommies come with there IP sedans. One had the painted black G37 rims, he has those. He says they are nice and feel like stick. It also dropped it more than the H&R.

I'm surprised you say that they lowered the car more than the H&R's, because from my experience the H&R's lower the car more than the Eibach's and these are supposed to have less of a drop than the Eibach's. Are you sure he doesn't have the Tanabe DF210's? The DF210's are very similar to the NF210's, but they have a 1.4" drop rather than a 1" drop and also have slightly higher spring rates. The NF210's are fairly new and most of the vendors I have talked to just got them in this past week.

[QUOTE=2GoRNot2G;3950506]Very cool. I'll have to run a search and see if I can find any posts with pictures... Guess I should have done that first.
I was gonna do it but at work I can't see most of the pics and vids so it would of been a failed attempt lol

if you go to the link http://www.tanabe-usa.com/springs/sp...tions.asp?id=2 there are little picture icons beside the G35 Sedan listing.
Judging from the pictures the back seems to sit lower than the front.

Yeah, I saw those pics too and it does seem to sit a little lower in the rear than in the front... although it seems almost any springs you go with give this same effect. The IMPUL's seem to be the only ones that only lower the car about a 1/4" in the rear to keep the rear higher than the front.
Hey Robby. I remember his car well. I love that car!!!

the G in those pics doesn't look like it's dropped in the front at all :S
can someone with stock springs get a side shot of his car so we can compare the drop?
Maybe it would be more obvious if the wheels were pushed out a little to see the fender to wheel gap.

Here's another thread I found where someone installed these and he said that he didn't require any rear camber / alignment kit in order to get the rear back to within the stock specs. I also can see from these pics that the rear is definitely lowered more than the front, and I'm not sure if I like that or not. Of course, it's not nearly as noticeable with his aftermarket wheels.
