The V36 Coilover info thread
#46
the stiffer ride and adjustable height is what I'm looking for, however I'm still unsure whether the preset damping setting on the Tanabe's would be good enough for me. decisions decisions! If I decide on JIC's (or any of the 2K+ coilovers) then I'm probably gonna go with sways and other mods first.
How often do they need to get re-valved anyway?
thanks for your input!

I'm not sure on the re-valving though, you'd have to ask whichever company you decide on.

...thought it'd be good to gather basic CO info in one location for quick reference.
I thought we could post up new/additional data & the 1st post will be updated periodically.
We could also add basic info like min-max range, dampers adj, MSRP .....etc.
Post 'em up & we'll build the data.
something like......
***************************************
MODEL: JIC FLT-TAR
MIN-MAX: 0.5 - 3.5"
SPRINGS f/r: 9kg/6kg; linear;
DAMPER: 15pt adj;
UPPER MOUNT: choice of pillowball OR rubber
MSRP:$2637
XX: ?
*************************************
& if you happen to come across an AWD version = induction into the V36 hall of Fame.

I don't mind spending the $ for a quality product.
Especially since I have to bring them up to Canada.
Last think I want is a problem.

Thing is they're SUPER stiff (14/14). I think the back would be too stiff, especially since I'm on a 9k spring right now, and the damper is set really low. IMO, the rear should be less stiff than the front, since it has less weight to support (no motor). The mono flex is quite a bit more expensive too.
Wonder who'll be the first to try them out?
