^ you can always flip the Eibachs when COs finally get here.

...you know how these things go,
a week becomes a fortnight, a fortnight > a month; etc.....

Quote: Sorry guys.. I've been really busy.
I hope to give this another go this weekend, although I have to admit... I had my finger on the order button for a set of Eibachs today.
These are gonna cost a fortune and although coils trump springs every day of the week, I have to admit that the easy route was very very tempting today.

We'll see where I end up soon. I want a drop THIS year... not next.
Hey Scott. Glad to see your back. I was beginning to worry. I thought something bad happend to you! lol Its not like you to be away from this forum this long. haha

Almost purchased Eibachs eh? I find that a bit surprising in light of CO's looming over our heads right now. But very understandable that you'd want a drop right now. I get that. Just wait a little bit longer!! till we get this CO thing figured out.

Lucky for me I am content with getting a drop next spring. I can play the waiting game. I have other things in mind right now anyway.

I'm free all weekend and don't mind taking my wheels off to do whats needed.
Let me know guys.

Not a dumb questions at all... I wondered the same thing.
The only real difference is that the coils are adjustable. Both options drop the car in the same manner.
So yeah, if you are low enough to no longer get your camber within specs, you will need camber kits.

For us, our best option may be to drop it to the point where it's still able to be within specs without the kit. That will give us a modest drop without being too low.

I should have gotten the Eibachs a year ago or the Impuls two years ago when they were still affordable.
The longer I wait, the more expensive my eventual solution gets.
I went from $400- Impuls to $600 Eibachs (with camber kits) to $1000+ coils.
WTF!?! If I wait till next spring, who knows what the next best thing will be.

Thanks bud... see post #56 for details on what BC Racing needs from us.
Anything you can post up is a huge help. The wife made plans for us today. With family and friends coming over and me on grill duty, I don't see a lot of "alone in the garage time" for me today.

Quote: Will you go for these CO's if they work on our car?
yeah, i'd rock coils over springs any day.

regarding camber kits, i think if you drop the car past a certain point, IIRC you will need camber kits. i have a camber kit in the back, but not the front of my car based on the specs posted by a driver member sometime ago. also, the PITA thing too is with every adjustment of the coils, you will need an alignment as well.

Aeson...the next best thing would be an EDFC with either an air ride/ coils

Ok, I have lots of pics. Many are probably redundant but I don't really know exactly what is needed so go here to look and download them if they are useful.

Well, Pete at BC Racing took a look at the diagrams that Ian provided and he immediately saw that these are not going to work. Hope is not lost though... we're just trying to figure out how to proceed. He's in FL, I'm in MA and Lumpia is in WA. LOL!
Not many AWD G's in FL, so this is a little tricky.
I told him that he has a few sales pending if and when he gets this worked out for us.
I forwarded those pics to him as well. Thanks a ton for doing that for us.

That's too bad.....

...hmmm I wonder how much a front strut would be from a wrecking yard.
If y'all chipped in, it might not cost much.

Hey Scott - when you say, "trying to figure out how to proceed".

Do you mean they are down with the idea of making CO's for 2nd gen sedans? and I guess they physically need a 2nd gen to show up at their shop? ( or what Ian said, we send them front struts ? ).
