SPC or SPL/Eibach rear camber arms?
SPC or SPL/Eibach rear camber arms?
I've seen pictures of both, but the SPC ones are roughly double the price of the SPL ones. I can see a Heim type joint at the frame end versus the "regular" bushing of the SPC, but I'm not sure I can justify the difference.
What you guys think?

I don't think I've ever seen the SPL installed on a V36.
I just got done with this awhile back,, i wished i'd know about SPL first,, I certainly would have gotten those,, especially in chrome!!! but i did install the SPC's and they did the job just fine i guess,,, btw.. i did have to elongate the slot for toe with the SPC kit,, I also like the upper a arms from SPL,, but over 500.00 bucks for those!! So i am going to install SPC's upper arms this weekend....
I'm getting some wear on my inner tires, so I'm starting to look into these.
Me, personally, I can't justify spending the extra coin on the SPL's versus the Eibach/SPC's. It's not like the frame end does anything other than control up/down movement of the arm (or so it looks that way), so I can't see the benefit of that heim joint versus the SPC's joint (probably rubber or urethane in there).
From this crude pic, it looks to me that the arm only articulates up/down, with no front/back motion. In that sense, is having that heim-type joint necessary?

Unless anyone can convince me otherwise as to the benefits of the SPL arm, I'm getting the Eibachs for half the price of the SPL arm.

The SPC works just fine, and they are a lot cheaper than the SPL for sure.
OK ... that makes more sense than the original post where you said
which explains why I have never seen the SPL units installed on a V36 before. Go with the SPC/Eibach arms if they are less expensive.
Here is a picture of the SPC installed on my car:
