Question about jack points
Question about jack points
Curious what you guys think...
Is it OK to lift the whole rear of the car by jacking the rear differential (I use rubber pad jack cup so no metal on metal damage would apply)?
If not, where do you guys jack from (aside from the frame rails)?

If I'm lifting to put on stands, that's what I do ^
The front also has a point in the middle.
If I'm just jacking to swap wheels;
I jack from the Front/side lift point.
I can do both f&r wheels in one lift.

Thanks guys,
Ian, I do the same thing for the wheels, I lift the whole side of the car by the frame rail and hit both wheels at once.
I just needed to know if the rear diff was safe for lift, I did so when I swapped my rear springs, but still wasn't sure if that was OK.
again, thanks!
