Red face GT Spec braces

Nothing really special, just wanted to update you guys on the braces that I've installed:

Front Engine Strut Brace
L + R Subfame Tie Brace
Rear Lower Tie Brace

I installed this last week to see if I could feel a difference, I think I feel the front end swaying less when going into corners but honestly it could just be all in my head.

I installed these plus the Rear Lower Tie brace (pictured below) just an hour ago, pretty easy install, I just had a few questions:

1- Do the washers sit on the inside of the braces? because that's how I installed them

2- Does anyone know what the torque settings for these barces are? I've done 28 ft/lbs for the Engine strut, but I would think these are different? anyone know?

Ok now do you see the picture above, I want to clarify something, are the bolts that are being used by this brace the ones that I have to elongate when installing my Camber arms in order to get the toe back into spec? If so does anyone know what's the easiest way to go about remove the spring and spring seat?

I've removed it before from the suspension end, but looking at it today if I just release it from the inside (where I'll be grinding the hole) then it would just snap down onto my exhaust pipe , so do I have to remove the whole seat and spring to do this? Kind of a bummer if that's the case, anyway any feedback would be appreciated.

The bolts that are currently being used for the brace you installed simply hold the arms to the subframe. The bolts for the toe are the ones used for the M brace as shown below.

One more thing, If you're thinking of purchasing the M Brace I don't think it fits on the GCC spec G's since we have finned differential cases.

I don't get the spring question?

Hummm, are you sure dude? I'm looking at the SPC Toe Bolt install and it shows that I should elongate the toe bolt -----> http://batit.com/forumpics/spctoeboltinstall.pdf

First off yeah you're right the M brace doesn't seem to fit, I've already bought one and looking at it yesterday I was thinking how the hell does it fit with that huge differential in the way!!! But I forgot that we have different differentials from the US guys, because looking at the pics got me confused, thanks for clearing that up, if anyone wants a new M-brace PM me

as for the spring question, I was referring to the rear spring perch, the cup that the rear springs are resting in, from the PDF link above it shows that these are the bolts I need to elongate to get the toe back into spec when installing my new camber arms.

Can someone please clarify to me which damn hole I need to elongate

Hahaha... I have the exact same setup and I've had them for quite some time now!

I know I want the rest of the bars, but I'm kinda leaning towards selling my JICs and get something little better for now...

found this as well,

if you scroll down to the pic under the camber arm pic you will see the two red things highlighted on the pic and can easily see that it is a different bolt that I should elongate

Nothing is wrong with JICs. I just think it's time for me to change it up and upgrade to 2 or 3 way adjustables.

This?

2 or 3 way adjustable coilovers? what are they?

and yes that is the same link that I posted above, I just need clarification as to which bolt to elongate? is it the one that I installed my rear tie brace onto? the 4th picture from the top?

Or do I elongate the holes that the M-brace fits onto?

C'mon someone must know which hole to elongate!!!

I'm 100% sure its the same holes that I installed my rear bar onto, the one that holds onto the spring perch. ANYONE?

I would guess if it doesn't fit the normal US spec G35X then it wouldn't fit the Euro version. But I dunno if it interferes with the X but with the GCC spec cars we have bigger differentials and so it gets in the way of the M-brace
