For those with Akebono's
Have any of you guys, who've retrofitted the Akebono's on your G35/HR sedans, noticed slightly more forward bias?
The car seems to nosedive more with aggressive braking, something i've never had issue with on the stock "S" brakes.
I'm comparing OEM set-ups on both counts (rotors, calipers, pads and all). The only non-OEM part in the whole equation are the 2pc rotors up front and SS lines on the Akebono's.
It's not that big of an issue, as i can always replace the rear pads with slightly more aggressive one's, but in case something's amiss i want to nail it down.
Thanks.

I'm not sure i get that... isn't an HR motor still a VQ? Mind clarifying?
From what i've read prior to going this route was that the MC for HR sedan's and coupe's are the same. Then again, you may be right about the tweaks they made between applications. Or perhaps they put less aggressive pads on the rears? (relatively anyway, these are just plain 'ole OEM pads after all).

I don't know if the master cylinders are exactly teh same as far as their bias. You could try to put more agressive pads in the rears. That can affect bias a bit. Might help you get back to a more even brake feel.

op, i actually will be installing mine tomorrow, but in regards to your question. I have read the FSM for our car and compared the diameter of the brake master cylinder and booster to the G37 coupe with akebono's. There is a couple of mm difference between the two. That may be the issue; as for the exact measurements. I will have to get back to you on that, lol.
probably the RB front rotors. I don't know about the MC. Why would they change the MC on the coupe anyway? what about the non-sport coupe? does it have the same MC as the sedan or the Sport coupe?
