V36 AWD Coilovers Finally Available - installed!
Part of the issue with the rear is that height has to be adjusted in 2 places: the strut and at the spring perch. Since the 2 are not physically connected, the 2 adjustments have to be matched and simultaneously adjusted.
I just had my BC Coils installed this weekend. My mechanic had a very hard time as well installing the Coils. I had it set to the max height and it is still too low for me. I was advised that we shouldn't be setting the coils at max height because there isn't enough leverage room if we hit any kind of pot holes stretching and putting a lot of stress on the suspension. Not to mention he had to preload the springs fully before he can install the coils.
He recommend that they could help me add an extension to the unit (giving me another 2inches of adjustment). The only question is whether or not the extension would interfere with the integrity and the longevity of the unit =(

A previous poster showed the coilovers set at lowest and max heights. The max height had at least 1 inch of fender gap. I guess other owners are not seeing this adjustment range?
I took the measurement of my before and after with eibach and the results was that with the coils, i am sitting at 1/8 inch lower =x
none the less the mech said that there isn't enough room for the suspension to stretch (at the max height) if we hit a sizable dip and might dmg the suspension.
but by welding an extension to the suspension, would it affect the longevity and the integrity of the coils?? thats my main concern I mean the car looks sick but just not feasible for day to day driving around town

Do you know which rear spring you got?
I can't figure out why it's so hard to install the rear, granted i haven't tackled the job yet, but BC's instructions for it is pretty straight-forward.

unfortunately i got the standard... i placed my order when we found out that the coils worked for our car LOL... wasn't patient enough for them to fix all the kinks before i bought it LOL now I'm suffering.
I don't think its the spring issues as its still the suspension that is made too low. Springs would definitely help though!!!

Still have to adjust the fronts, however. But the short test drive today mirrors pretty much everyone's comments here... they ride really nice! I'm at 15F/R on dampers.
Looks great! Which vendor did you get these from? did you have to specify any specific spring rates for them? Too lazy to search through these pages for the info lol.
Greetings from Moscow mates!
I've just received mine BC coils for G35x 2008 and so fckn happy about it)))
Now I have the Question: It is written on box that I have a 10k front and 8k (230mm god bless I read this forum)
Is it okay tha the front springs are 10k?
Cause As I see everyone have 12k front springs, and I just wanted to figure out is mine 10k okay or I need to change them into 12k!

Moscow? mates? You're not Ruski are you?
(my wife is, she never say "mates").
10k will work well for daily driving. From what i remember BC mentioning, if you track the car the 10k at full damper stiffness works just as well as the 12k at semi-full dampers.
I have the 12k, and originally set it to 15 clicks from hard -- man that was rough. It's now at 20 clicks (or 10 from soft) and feels so much better.
My 2c is, 10k is still sprung way more than OEM so it shouldn't matter as far as comfort goes, but you may sacrifice a little in performance.
