Hey does everyone need these adapters when installing oem TPMS onto aftermarket wheels? because I didn't use anything, I simply swapped them over and they seem to be working just fine.

So why would we need them? and why do mine fit without an adapter?

These should work on the GTS wheels. This is basically what I am using from iForged (and they are cheaper than iForged).

Either will work. Not sure where to get TPMS sensors.

You only need the adapters on 2/3 piece wheels that use a 90 degree valve stem. The OEM TPMS valve stem will work on most 1 piece wheels. A lot of 2/3 piece wheels are now drilling a second hole to run the regular 90 degree valve stem and the TPMS at the same time.

Thanks for all the feedback. Im going to grab these off ebay and give them a shot.

Last question until I get these mounted up.....what size tires should I go with? I will not be lowering the car, and I want something with a nice wide stance. My initial thought was to go with 245/40/19s, but after looking at some of you guys running 275/35/19 I'm leaning that way if possible. Will 275/35 clear on all four corners?

What do you guys recommend for tires on this setup. I was thinking 255/40 or 275/35...on all four corners, thoughts? Will either fit without rubbing issues?

The 275 is going to being pushing it. I would go with the 245/40 or 255/40 on the first go around. Those are closest to the stock tire size as far as diameter also.

I went with Rays extended. You can get in Red, Black or Blue.

And remember that if you have 2 sets of TPMS, you will need to Validate (pair) the new set to your vehicle with a special "tool" each time you change tires. Infiniti and specialty automotive shops can do it for you, or you can buy the unit for a couple hundred dollars.

Sweet Rims!

^ Thanks for the info.

I dont know what to do. If it were you guys what would you do? 255/40 or 245/40?

I'm personally leaning toward the 255/40...would like your expert opinions. Thanks.

After tons of advice I used this calulator:

http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

and went with tires that most closely matched stock Diameter. You'll probably sweat it the whole way until you actually see them in the wells. GL!

Thanks man, unfortunately it will be stock height for a little while until I save up some spending money.

I'm fairly certain I'm going with the 255/40 tires as well. Stock diameter is 26.74" while the 255/40s are 27.03", a 1.08% difference. Pretty damn close considering the extra sidewall and width you get compared to the 245/40 in my opinion.
