Tire Decision Help - All Season Tires for the G35x
I know there are lots of posts on tires preferences, but this is a different question.
I am trying to decide what to do with my current situation. The prior owner had a road hazard warranty, and had two tires replaced due to nail damage. That leaves the car will two almost new Goodyear RS-A tires and two that are shot. The good tires are on the front for the moment, but I am not thrilled with the RS-A tires. (They seem to squirm a bit more at speed than other tires I have had in the past)
I obviously need two new tires and I have about four options to consider:
1) buy two new Goodyear RS-A tires so they match and live with that performance
2) buy some other Goodyear (maybe Eagle GT) so they don’t look too mismatched
3) buy two different tires (Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus, etc.) to put on the front.
4) buy four new tires and eat crackers for the next year to pay for them.
I am just curious how “ghetto” that would be to buy two mismatched tires and then buy the other two next year after squeezing some life out of the current RS-As (putting those on the rear)
I also welcome recommendations… I am thinking Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus because I want handling, dry performance, smooth & quite ride, all over wet and snow performance.
Thanks!

I'd get all 4 of a better tire, I got rid of those crap RS-As after a lousy 5k miles. I didn't enjoy pushing the G w/ those tires, didn't feel connected to the road and the 225 size is too narrow for 326hp. I ended up w/4 Dunlop Sport Signature 245mm wide (for 20" rims) and it's SOOO much better driving my G now. I have no idea why they equip these higher hp cars w/ tires that belong on a Camry or some other 230 hp car. Don't suffer another week w/ those junk treads, start enjoying your G ASAP w/ some new shoes on that great ride!

Would definitely avoid getting RS-A's again - they are terrible tires, especially in rain/snow. I have Goodyear GTs for over a year and although they are much better than RS-A's in rain/snow they wear a bit too quickly and became noisy rather quickly too. I would bite the bullet and go for Michelin A/S Sport at this point. If you can sell your used tires per 3-fity's advice or Craigslist that will take a bit of pain off your wallet.
