brakes

Im due for a brake job (3600 miles) the dealer is quoting me about $400. Sound to high?

$400 for what? Replace pads,turn rotors, front, rear? We need more info, but from my experience the dealer quotes will be high.

Just so you know I just replaced all four of my GF Pads and Rotors on her 2005 G35x for $300 in parts.

R1 concepts.

$400 seems ok for the pad replacement.

The pads are like 120-200 bucks and your paying labor for the rest.

if your rotors arent warped just replace the pads. its one bolt and takes 15 mins each side. most of the time is spent jacking the car up and taking off the rim.

The Infinti dealer says $400 per axle, includes machining the rotars. He says that the 08 G35 is rear brake biased and my rear brakes are down to 3, the front brakes are 6.

I called the Nissan dealer and they said $200 per axle, including machining the rotars.

I think I'm gonna go with Nissan.

Any opinions?

I went to pep boys ,and the change my rear brake for 300 with rotor and pads

My dealer charged me 289 including resurfacing rotors for rear axle...this was at infiniti of bridgewater
