G35X brake replacement and upgrade experience

I have done considerable searching for information on brake pad and rotor upgrade and replacement for the G35X, however most information seems to be directed toward BBK upgrades like the Akebono. However to change to an 18 inch wheel/tire that is required to enable the Akebono upgrade gets pretty expensive. Information on brake upgrades, or just pad and rotor replacement, specifically for the X is pretty limited. So I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread for information on G35X-specific brake experience to try and get the information in one place as much as possible.

Please provide any information you might have on experience with brake components for the G35X. Include information on cold bite, fade resistance, dusting, pedal feel, fitment, cost, etc. Similarly, please provide experience with rotors as to resistance to warping, resistance to corrosion, whether solid, drilled, or slotted, cost, etc. Also, if you have used braided brake lines, your impression would be valued. Please indicate whether you would take the same path again, or would recommend your solution to others, and if possible, compare your results with stock or other combinations of components you may have used. Thanks for taking the time to give your experience and hopefully provide a better reference to help G35X owners make a better informed decision.

visit r1concepts.com and get their PREMIUM rotors with any premium ceramic pads(akebono, hawk etc) not the eline or something, have had them for a long time on my S with occasional heavy braking and they have been great for over 2yrs with no warping or anything. other X owners should chime in with more detailed help.

I have Considered the Akebono Ceramic and the Hawk Ceramic but am concerned about initial cold bite. Some reviews of the Hawk HPS even say that have poor cold bite. I like the feel of the Akebono BBK on the later G35's a lot, and loved the feel of the Brembo's I had on my last car. I'm trying to duplicate the initial bite and feel of the Akebono BBK on the G35X without too much dust or rotor wear. Are there any Ceramics that are offered for both front and rear on the G35X with good cold bite?

I have also been considering either the Bobcat pads or the Project mu as well.

Any feedback on experience with any of these pads would be great.

As far as rotors, I need something that doesn't rust, and cools well. I'm indiferent as to solid or slotted, don't really care for the drilled. Just need something durable that won't warp.

I bought Bendix CT-3 ceramic pads on Amazon and Centric premium blank rotors on RockAuto.com. The pads will definitely have better cold bite than Hawk HPS (which I would not get due to poor cold bite) and have one free replacement (have to send card in or register onlin). Centric premium rotors are pretty well regarded and should not warp like OEM. I haven't put the rotors or the pads on yet, waiting for my OEM pads to wear out.
