nitrogen

So I took off my wheels to clean the inside today (bored) and just notices that all my tires seemed to be filled with nitrogen. Is this how they come from the factory? I've only had mine for about a month so I know most of you already know this.

Well the all have the blue dot on the rims, and the valve cap is blue and says "Nitrogen 3 Fill" Sure it could just be regular air in there too

^ Ok not trying to get into which is better, just wanted to know from those who bought their cars new if that's what it came with from factory/dealer.

I was a Blackhawk Crewcheif in the Army for 15yrs so I'm quite familiar with nitrogen and its capabilities. Good google search though!!

I worked for a dealer that carried Wynns products. Oil treatment, tranny flush, coolant flush, brake fluid flush, Fuel Inj flush and the snake oil de jour. The next "big thing" for them was to try to sell us on the "Nitrogen Exchange" machine. I was wondering if Moon tickets were next. This was in a lower income area of Boston and I figured that most people in that neighborhood had very little extra cash to spend on Nitrogen, considering that many lived from week to week.
I can just see the thoughts running through their heads...."Hmmmm..Nitrogen for my tires instead of air or.....food for the kids? I'll take the Nitrogen."

If it's good enough for me to breath, it is certainly good enough for my tires!!

Mike

Most internet companies are filling them with nitrogen now adays. I found this site which suggests some Infiniti dealerships have started using nitrogen to fill their tires. Dont think its a company wide thing though.
