Tire Replacement 2008 G35 Sport

I'd like to use 4 'fronts' for A/S, 4 'rears' for summer tires
I wanted to revive this thread because of my interest in going 'square', away from staggered, in the hopes of having better performance year-round. I'd like to hear from some of the many folks who have 8.5" wheels and summer rubber all the way around. I imagine the X-Sport crowd has lots of experience with branching out from the stock 225/50/18 size. I'll also try my luck with a new thread.

i have the 912, initially they feel ok. but the grip goes down as the tires wear out, and the side wall felt even softer?
I heard that the grip is not good when its very cold, i am in socal so that wasn't a problem for me.
i think they are great for DD. they have decent wear and grip for every day driving. But when pushed hard, I found that the grip quality degrade quickly, and get worse with wear.

update, i have some 255/40/18 up front on the 7.5 inch rims now. with new 275/40/18 out back on the 8.5 inch rims. the fronts fit fine as far as clearance within the fender well at full lock. but I would say its the max for the 7.5 wide rims. getting some muffin-ness now but reminds me of the hot rod Mercedes i'd see around Germany in the late 80s
these are nitto 555s
