Tire Replacement 2008 G35 Sport

Does anyone have any experience they can share for replacement "all" season performance tires for a 2008 g35 sport? The summer tires just do not last long enough for my wallet!

Choices
Yokohama Avid Envigor
Bridgestone potenza RE090 AS
Michelin Pilot Sport All Season

Hankook?

I just ordered Yokohama Avid ENVigor's. Getting them put on Tuesday so if you wait i will write a little review for ya!

Other tires i were looking at were Conti's DWS

Those Yoko's were second best in that category on tire rack. Great reviews and i had Yokohamas on my GP and loved them.

I have the pilot sport as plus and they are a great set of tires compared to the oems. Very grippy wet and especially dry while cornering. The car is much more stable than before. What a big difference a good set of tires can make. Snow traction is ok (only tested on light snow). Got them at discount tire for $160/tire. Way cheaper than Canada at $222 on sale at Costco otherwise it would be $240

I vote no for Envigors!! I smashed into a light pole right near my house. These tires are dangerous and won't brake at all. The ABS goes crazy and the car wouldn't slow down from 10mph until i hit a pole!! I exchanged them for Michelins and they're like night & day terms of traction!! (Thy aren't as smooth as Yokos, but i'll glady trade that for safety!)

Replacement Tires for 2008 G35 Sport

The Sport package have off set tires. 225/50 18s ofr the fron 245/45/18s for the rear. So if you want a matching set you are limited. the choice is widening all the time. i would recommend the Kumho Ecsta Platinum LX. It is not that expensive and provides resonable performance and lasts.

I got 17K out of the Potenza's that came with the car. I went with the Goodyear next. Y=They gave me 27K but were too noisey. I then switched the the Kumho. I got 32K on the rear and have 40K on the Front (and they are still in reasonable shape, I could go 2 or 3 more K on them). I am getting new fronts on this week anyway.

I know that some won't believe me or think that I drive like a grandmother. Guess what, I don't care if you believe me or not, and while I don't drive like a lunatic I am fairly agressive. The Kumho is a decent titre and a "best buy" in my opinion

take this for what it is worth.

Continental Extreme Contact DWS are the best high-performance all season tires by far. There are numerous reviews on this site (including mine). Go to tirerack.com for some good reviews. The are also the best bargin right now.

You had to have had a defective tire. I read every single review on tire rack and heard nothing of this.

Checkout the Potenza RE760; I have them on my car and I'm very happy with the ride/handling.

Does it fit for 08 G35XS?! cause I am looking for a set of tire and the Continental one doesn't fit for 225/50/R18

If you've got the money and you want a really good A/S tire, you can't go wrong with the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. They don't make it in the 225/50-18 size, but they do make a 235/50-18 size that will fit and will work just fine.

Don't be afraid to explore the 235 width tires. It will open up your selection, might even look better. Awd and 235 all around is still fine. I like the hankook ventus v12.
