Another alternative is for you to bring it to a tire shop and have them check with their special TPMS tools. They can trigger the sensor to make sure they are turned on then scan for the ID. The shop may/may not be able to reprogram your ECU to the new ID numbers. If the sensor in all tires are not found, then they are dead or not present. Either way you gotta dismount the tire to fix.
I don't know if this is cheaper than just dismounting and physically checking

There are DIY tools out there but the ones that can scan through the tire sidewall are pretty $$$. Usually you need to know the ID before mounting.

I thought I was gonna hate it but they work for me!! They look pretty good too! I was just concern they weren't so close to OEM circumference!! I am running 245/35 and 275/30. In the future I might go 245/40 and 275/35. We'll see!
