If the previous owner put on something ridiculous like a tire with a 500 treadwear rating, I'd seriously consider selling those tires, because they don't match your vehicle. I replaced my OE tires with a Sumitomo HTR ZIII, a max performance summer tire with a treadwear rating of 300, because I wanted to spend a little less and get better wear while keeping within the category. The Sumitomo's and some others require you to go 10mm wider, but they have the same diameter and actually look better on the rear wheels.

Since then the Bridgestone 760 Sport became available in the OE sizes, a step down in the performance category and a treadwear rating of 340 - it seems like a good option.

If your car is a non-Sport - never mind. By the way, I would disregard any advice that doesn't include the tire model, such as "buy Continental". I'm sure Continental makes good tires and bad tires, so the advice doesn't help you.
You are correct - I have a 08 Sport.

It currently has Eagle GTs with a build date of 4209, so I assume they are not the original tires.

Eagle GTs don't come in the OEM sport sizes...what sizes do you have on it?

245/45/18 - isn't that the right size for the rear?
