Bleeder size for tubing

Planning to replace the brake fluid in my '08 G35X sometime soon and was hoping someone can confirm what size tubing fits the bleeder screws. I did look up replacement bleeders on RockAuto and they list a Carlson part #. I looked it up and they indicate it's an "8mm (M10 x 1.0) 31.5 mm". I know the M10x1 refers to the thread and 31.5 is surely the length so I presume the 8mm refers to the flared end diameter. That's close enough to 5/16" (I.D.) so I presume that's what I need, yes ? Now I realize that the 8mm refers to the hex size....

Looking at 3/8" tubing, it has an I.D. of 1/4" while 1/2" tubing has an I.D. of 3/8". What have others used ?
