Front suspension noise, G35X

Hello everyone, new to the forum, just picked up a high miles 2005 G35X with a suspension issue. I replaced the upper control arm, as the ball joint was bad, but there is another noise that I am having trouble pin pointing. Not matter what speed I am going, when I even tap the brakes, there is a clunk from the from right suspension. Even under idle power and a slight tap of the brakes, there is a clunk. Viewing it from the outside of the vehicle I can see the odd hesitation of the wheel when the noise occurs. There is no obvoius where in the other bushings or ball joints, and being that it happens at a crawl, I cant imagine it being a bushing as the suspension really isnt loading at that speed. I am now considering front axle, and suggestions?

My Jeep used to do this, ended up being the front upper control arm bushings. The size of the hole was slightly oversized, so it had clearence without any wear. I bought a set of Moog bushings, installed them and it hasn't made the noise since. Also, you might be able to post this in the V35 tech section for a second opinion.

Thanks. I actually changed the upper control arm last week, it was definitely bad. The noise reduced when going over bumps, but the noise when applying the brakes is still there. It happens at even a crawl, which makes me think it’s not a bushing or ball joint. I can even see the wheel jog forward when the brake is applied. I am kind of thinking axle now

I didn't even have the noise until I changed my upper control arms due to ball joints going bad..

I’ll have a closer look at the compression rod, seems to be a common problem. Thanks

One of my compression rod ball joints is bad (the only original part left in my front suspension, actually) and I get bump steer only on that side, and occasionally a slight clunk on braking.

I just got my 2008 g35XS back from the dealership service department for a noise on the right front. It turned out to be the brake caliper. They replaced it and the noise is gone.
