**EDIT**
I should specify that you will not use the rubber cone with coil overs, but you will use them when doing just a spring change.

This is the wrong way to mount the rears:
is this the same for the coupes.

I received this set up info from JIC-Magic tech support,
which seems like a logical procedure to keep damper stroke near max. length.

1. Adjust the spring height FIRST.
2. after your spring ride height^ is set, adjust the damper length.
- place car on jack stands
- measure height to bottom of spring cup
- with a floor jack raise the spring cup 10mm (pre-load)
- adjust the damper length to fit this position.
Good info, added to OP.

Can someone point me in the right direction on how to mount the rear spring perch on oem style rear coils? The rubber cone just basically pops off and I couldn't find a way to install the spring perch...

If you're setup is like this, I used a rubber mallet to pound it in there. Also, get one edge of the perch as flush as you can get it then pound on the opposite side.

I feel like the area for the spring perch (replacing the rubber cone) is so shallow and it would just fall out...

Great! JICs huh! I was thinking if dropping mine to go with TEIN SS coilovers (great coils). There is no way I'm going springs and shocks drop like i did with my Nissan Maxima.

SO how do you honestly like the ride quality?

There are 3 or 4 small metal clips that hold the perch on once you pound it in. If you remov the cone you can feel them with your fingertips
