Whoops. Sorry for the late response. I'm glad others filled-in with the info.

I did get mine directly from Micron Air but they took a while to arrive as apparently it's built-to-order.

mike, i installed mine no problem. put the air flow arrow pointing down and now when my air is on at a very strong setting i can hear the filter wobbling around in the white chamber (at least thats what it sounds like). the OEM filter i took up has an arrow pointing up with Nissan written next to it. it didnt specify air flow or just the direction to install the filter. like i said, i installed the new one with the air flow arrow pointing down and its making this noise.

Did you insert it in properly? The filter has the same size and shape top and bottom, so as far as fitment goes it doesn't matter which side is up or down. The flow direction is only for the filament to work efficiently, it will filter either either but one direction works better than the other.

Just replaced mine last week i have 33k on it and yeah it was the 1st time replacing it. Infiniti made it a PITA to replace the incabin filter. I had a hard time removing the lil clip from the glove compartment...but anyways after about 30 mins job completed. My VW was so easy to get to just pop the hood and basically pull out the filter...I'm glad i did it though saved some money..i just went to autozone and got a filter frame i think for 18 bucks..not bad.

I just finished replacing the filter in my 07 G35x and the pictures and instructions in this thread helped out tremendously. I was afraid of getting everything put back together, but it all went smoothly.

Thanks for posting; I managed to do this without too much trouble. I broke one of the plastic clips on the big piece that comes out and exposes the filter housing (was a little too rough removing it), but no big deal since it all stays together with the screws and everything. Thanks again... I just hit 65000 and never changed the filter. It was gross haha.

mike, man, thank you thank you thank you for this guide! i wouldn't have been able to figure this one out without it.

i wonder why nissan/infiniti makes it so difficult to get to the damn thing?! the cabin filter in my 05 acura rl was really easy to get to.

07 G35x sedan cabin filter replacement

Changed my cabin filter today with a $17 Fram FreshBreeze, CF10140, from Walmart for the first time. Followed the steps from this post. Here are couple of additional points and pics.

1. The glove box is attached with 3 tabs at the bottom that you need to pull up. It's a bit snug.

2. The back panel with the 7 screws removed is attached with 2 tabs on the top. It's also snug.

The old filter has a lot of dust trapped between the pleads.

The new filter is smaller than the original, but comes with 2 self adhesive foam pieces. Attached them to the sides.

Thanks to all the contributors for the great informative posts! I just changed my out as part of the 15k -- quite dusty and gray!

For those who recall their cabin filter swap, how did you deal with placing the white cover/lid back on after placing the new filter in? To clarify, I'm referring to this cover:

This white cover has several triangular wedges that seem to be there acting as spacers to keep the filter in place. I didn't realize they were there so did not pay attention to the used filter, but when I placed the new filter in, I found I couldn't close/clip the white cover back into place. These wedges seem to force the filter upwards (at least in the front), such that the filter is no longer parallel to the ground. Is this what other DIYers experienced as well?

I honestly don't recall having any issues, but i have read that not all filters are made the same. Some run large, others small. This could be the cause of the fitment issues you're having.
