DIY: Clean your throttle bodies
No it doesn't feel like it's gonna stall at all. It feels really calm and good. It shows 400-500 when I let it warm up right before I use it. It doesn't do any weird shaking either.
But when I start the car up, it's at about 1500, then after a little warm up it calms down to the 500s.

Well, add me to the list of people with SES light on and 1200-1800 rpm. This by no means is my 1st rodeo cleaning a MAF or TB. I did my Porsche about every 20k miles with no problems like this.
MY car= 59k miles 2007 G35x
The only thing that didn't go on par with the OP's directions is a small hose came off the Black part going from the filter to the MAF on the drivers side going into the engine. I covered it up with a clean rag so nothing got in. Put everything back together correctly and now SES and high revs.
I have tried the relearn 5 times now. The last time my SES light didn't blink and stayed solid when pressing the gas. after disconnecting my battery and trying again I get the same results after 3 or 4 tires.
Questons:
1.) Is it possible if I can't do the relearn, the car will reset itself?
2.) Car seems to drive fine, just revs high in neutral, will this hurt my car if I drive it to see if it will reset itself?
3.) on step number 8/9(see below) it says 20 seconds but mine only takes about 9 seconds to stop blinking, so I am guessing I should go by step 9 instead which says " release within 3 seconds"?
8. Wait 7 seconds, fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for approx. 20 seconds until the MIL stops
blinking and turned ON.
9. Fully release the accelerator pedal within 3 seconds after the MIL turned ON
Thanks, MP.

Update:
Did the battery disconnect only and started it up. I am now at 1k idle with no SES light on. Having done about a dozen or so of the relearns, I am going to see if it figures itself out over the next few days
SES light came on after about 20ish miles

you can try that and its worked for some to drive until everything falls back to normal but idling high is not the best thing for elongated periods, the best and guaranteed solution is to do the reset until you get it right, its all about the timing and is not the easiest thing to do, i have done about a dozen TB cleaning on the Gs for myself and couple of friends and sometimes have the issues while not the others.
At the end performing the relearn fixes everything, even after having performed the relearn over 30 times i still need to do it a few times on some cars before i get it right.

UPDATE:
I think I finally got it, but my SES light is still on. So I gotta ask 2 questions:
If I unhook my battery to get rid of the SES light, will this screw up my new settings or will the ses light go off eventually?
Thanks comming, MP

if you unhook the battery then it should not do anything to the idle relearn that youve already done unless it was in fact not done right, also check you MAF connector, on my FX35 i didnt clip it in all the way and CEL was on and had high idle and would not let me rev over 3k sometimes but fine mostly...
In fact to be on the safe side just go to your local autozone or advanceautparts and have them read the CEL code for FREE and they can also reset with the comp without battery disconnect and that way youll even know if its a serious CEL issue just cause of the cleaning.
I actually asked at autozone if they could clear my code, he told me he couldn't becuase it was a $1500 fine if he got caught. I told him that sounds like BS because I had my code cleared in my porsche last year from them.
I am thinking about just buying a reader and doing it myself, that is if the battery thing doesnt work.
Thanks for the help

WOO HOO, OK, knock on wood(no seriously), It is fixed
I will give my fresh advice for anybody else.
I unplugged the battery for 20 minutes first to reset the SES light. I drove it about 10 miles and let it set for 1/2 hour(not sure if this helped but at least do the battery disconnect). Make sure everything in the car is turned off before starting the relearns(AC, Radio...)
Do both of the steps below
Accelerator relearn
1.) Foot off the pedal(Turn on(not the engine) 2 seconds, off 10 sec, on 2, off 10sec. Timing isn't crucial in this step.
Idle relearn
1.) Turn the ignition(not engine)on for 3 seconds( thousand 1, thous 2,..) after 3 seconds, As quick as you can, stomp then release the pedal 5 times within 5 seconds.
2.) after 5 tmes, with foot off of accelerator, count 7 seconds(thousand 1 thousand 2... 7) (I think this is where the SES light came on solid)
3.) ((This is the most crucial step))after the previous 7 seconds, Step on and hold down the accelerator for about 20ish seconds and release when SES light is solid, The light will start solid, then blink fast, then blink slowly(may repeat both blinks) then eventualy it will go solid(this is when you let off the acc and start the car immediatley. If you did it correctly, the SES light will go off and the car will idle at about 8.5kish. Leave it run for at least 20 seconds.
If not, repeat the steps after the car is off for a minute or two.(may want to do battery disconnect after a few tries(don't know how crucial this is, but it is how I did mine).
Notes:
1.) Start with the Negative battery cable unplugged for at least 10 minutes. and do the Accelerator learn
2.) If in step 3, your light goes solid at 10seconds(ish) you did it wrong. You need to have it go fast blink, slow blink.... then solid, If it stays on after your done, you did it wrong.
Good luck

Im glad you got it figured out but i got a code cleared on my friends G35 just last month from one of those common shops(wont name it in case it really is not legal)...
i dont really see the reason for it to be illegal though, it actually helps in finding out if the problem still exists or not. if they erase/delete the code and the problem persists the CEL light will pop up again in a few miles.
You cant cheat emissions this way either (my friend tried this too), if you go for emission testing after deleting your codes their computer will know and they will not test it and ask you to come back in a week so the car has enough readings for them to register... strange really.
