I think the downshift thing is common if not standard after the relearn. Should reset in a day or two. As long as your SES light is off and your idle(after warm up) is between 650 and 750 you should be good to go

 

idk if my idle is completely back where it should be when its warm but i'll post a vid right now to get a second opinion

I WAS REVVING IT UP TO SEE IF THE REVS BETWEEN 2 TO 1K WOULD DROP DOWN SLOWER THAN ALL OTHER REVS...SEEMS TO HAVE GONE BACK TO NORMAL....

Yep, it looks normal. Remember our cars rev high until they get warm. Your temp guage and rev(after warming up) looks exactly like mine. I was a little worried about my intital warm up when I got mine as I thought it was way too high. After seeing and reading everyone elses posts I find that is normal.

800-900 rpms is not proper idle when warm. Mine idled high for a while as well. Had to do the relearn though i never unplugged anything. For some reason it still needed to be done.

 

U sure? My car is running fine!

 

MIne ran fine too.....but 900 rpm warm idle is not normal. Here is a picture of mine after warming up for about 5 mins.

 

You know I've gone almost 30k miles now and my car is at 90k miles, but it doesn't seem to be idling high or anything weird. Maybe its time to open it up and clean it huh?

 

The picture shows a healthy idle at normal operating temperature. I think someone mentioned 400-500 being normal. Well, it's not. Normal is between 600-700. Again, see picture for reference.
And yeah, if anyone stumbles upon this thread with a normal running engine... we urge you to go ahead and tear into it so that you too can end up with a high idle. We've got to keep this thread alive somehow, right?

 

mine idles at 800 so.......close enough? or is it gonna affect anything?
