DIY: Shock sensor install
Bought a DEI 504D Stinger shock sensor and installed it as per the instructions posted by
kidjai on Youtube re. installing said shock sensor on a 2012 Maxima.
Note the fuse locations are different between the 2012 Maxima and the 2008 G35.
PAY ATTENTION to the schematic kidjai posted on Youtube.
I do recommend ordering positaps (on Amazon - where where these when I was installing electronics and alarms in the '80s) and using one on the drivers door switch.
This method is less invasive than installing the "unobtainium" factory shock sensor and messing with the wiring at the body control module.
Total cost approx. $25USD all parts purchased on Amazon. YMMV.
