Thumbs up Make An 07 6MT Clutch Complaint to NHTSA!

Make an Official Complaint to the NHTSA 07 CLUTCH ISSUE

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
>>got this from My350z.com. Figure some Guy's were having the same Clutch Problems as the 350's with our 07 G35's(Clutch Sticking to Floor). So the More people Complain here to NHTSA, maybe NISSAN will be Forced to make a Fix or Recall for this. makes me Nervous when I drive my G hard, Knowing in the Back of my mind this problem can occur at anytime, moving or Parked !

Maybe the Moderators can make this a Sticky!?

Thank's to the Guy's at MY350Z.com for this Info.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I know this is a repost (cause I posted it myself), you guys with clutch problems need to enter a complaint with the NHTSA's Office of Safety Investigation:

https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/ivoq/

If we ever expect to get a national recall on this issue, the NHTSA needs to pressure Nissan to do it. Currently there is only one mention of this issue in their database, and I lost count of how many have complained about it on this forum alone. Please enter a complain, lets inform the authorities that there is a safety issue here. I'd hate to have one of the owners get hurt or killed because they got stuck on a highway at night with a car they cannot drive.

Is this regarding the clutch going to the floor? Hasn't happened to me and quite frankly I pray that it never does, however a customer of mine (Alika's sister) recently had her pedal go straight to the floor on the highway. Turned out to be her clutch master.

My slave cylinder went up at 8000, requiring the clutch disc to be replaced as well. I was lucky, mine failed while I was sleeping, and stranded me at home.

Just placed my complaint. I'm gonna deliver another complaint to my dealership when I get home after the holidays b/c this problem keeps coming back and they say they can't fix it if I can't replicate the problem when I'm at the dealership! The clutch is clearly soft even when I get it there, and they're just resisting having to replace my cylinders!

Has anyone else who had the problem gotten it fixed for good?

This happened to me. I took it in and was able to replicate the problem. They replaced the entire clutch, the master/slave cylinder, etc. Hasn't been a problem since. I'd love to to see a TSB for this.

WOW, seems more people are having this same problem as the 07 350Z's! So File a complaint at that link, the more complaints they get listed, will hopefully they make Nissan have a TSB for this so it does not happen at the wrong place wrong time kind of thing, and leave you stranded some where? I also was reading on the 350Z forums, that Nissan has made a new Updated Slave cylinder, that can handle more than the orginal one?? not sure if it's just BS from the dealer or true? But we'll see.

Infiniti actually released an ITB on the issue (ITB08-01). You can read more on it in this thread: https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sedan-v36-2007-08/197896-voluntary-07-6mt-sedan-clutch-slave-cylinder-campaign.html

I had my recall work done last Friday. The work improved a problem that I was having with a vibration in the clutch pedal.

It's MUCH BETTER NOW!!
