Fujita Intakes (before and after Dyno inside)

This was done by a member of the G37 forum:

http://myg37.com/forums/showthread.php?t=176306

Obviously results could vary between the VQ37HR and the VQ35HR... but this dyno was done with the hood closed both times, so it may do away with some of the 'heat soak' hype.

9whp gain with the hood closed. All runs were done w/ the hood closed and stock runs were clustered within 1-2hp of eachother, as were the Fujita dynos.

Well... and no offense to Fujita.... they were the first to market. I'm excited to see how the JWT pop-chargers do, as well as the Injen system scheduled for release in the next month or so.

I give them credit for being first but they should have looked into some kind of shield anyway.

I got that same email 2 months ago after sending them an email asking about heat shields being available. Looks like we're still waiting.

sure it's a 9 hp gain, but we don't know how many times he had it dyno'd with the intake and how many time dyno'd stock. stock could have been only one pull where it might have been the crappiest pull as far as HP. With the intake on, they probably did ten pulls to show the best (highest horsepower) reading.

I'm skeptical. I don't see how an intake can do so much across all of the powerband for the VQ, whether its not DE, HR, or VHR.

Dyno's are too incosistent in showing improvements unless the variables are all relatively the same, which is very hard to do even on same day, same dyno results.

.

He said he did 10 pulls. 5 stock and 5 with the intake and that they were all within 1hp from another. hmmmmm...

I didn't buy any intake until now, i'm thinking about Stillen, but if JWT came out and Fujita release their intake heat shield, it'll be very hard to chose, i'm still waitting, but i'd love to see Fujita with black tubes and heat shield, i heard AEM might release CAI for the g35, it might be an exact copy for the Nismo intake for the 350z HR engine, i just wish if Nismo would make that intake for the G35 sedan, i'd buy it with my eyes closed.
