I agree with Eartho. It really does sound VERY deep and powerful. No raspyness or anything that resembles a can/tin at all.

I would even go to lengths as saying... it makes your car sound like one of those highly coveted super sports car out there. Or at least, this is as close as your gonna get with your G. * My subjective opinion if other ppl think otherwise *

You really have to hear how the engine sounds when its warm already, and when your turn on the ignition. Its crazy. VROOOMMM!!! The engine comes to life. It really does sound special.

Its just a matter of.. is this for you or not.

it actully does get raspy if you dont install the vibration dampeners on the exhaust....i drove around with and with out them to see the diffenerce. so everyone who is DIY make sure you swap them from teh old exhaust.

Just as an FYI... I havent seen an increase in gas consumption so far. Ive been using the onboard fuel consumption chart on our G's and didnt see an increase with this exhaust system.

Ahhh, the dreaded v6 drone.

In other cars, some people weld in dynomax bullet mufflers to quiet the drone (and not hurt power, they're straight through). I'm not sure if it'd entirely do the trick though.

Do the stillen mufflers have fiberglass in them? In other cars I've seen, mufflers without fiberglass (like flowmasters) tend to drone a lot more (and have more noise inside the car) than those with fiberglass (magnaflow, dynomax, etc).

Congrats on the exhaust. I'm still def thinking about picking one up! I'm sure it sounds wonderful. I think my first mod though will be the injent intakes still. Hmm any videos or pictures? Is the droning inside the cabin more then a reg. g35 coupe or FX?

There is no droning when I drove the FX. I have never driven a coupe.. sadly So I cant say in behalf of the coupe.

I will make videos soon.. I just have been lazy. But I will get to it.

Update for today:

I drove my car this morning to work. It was very civilized. I was happy with it. It may have been as a result of the cooler temperature (16 degrees). Now its lunch time, its about... 27 degrees out right now. And it still sounds more civilized. It feels like.. the exhaust has smoothen out a little bit.

When I was on the phone with stillen other day, they said in time, the exhaust will smoothen out as a result of the carbon lining the exhaust pipes. Maybe this is the case right now.

So today. I love my stillen exhaust I hope it stays that way.
