Has anyone installed a silencer on their aftermarket exhaust?

Hey Guys - just wanted to know if anyone has done this and/or if anyone has any experience with silencers.

Share your experiences. Thanks. Im thinking of wanting to put a silencer on my stillen exhaust if possible. Im also wondering about losing power as a result of this.

I read in a lexus IS thread about some dude placing an HKS silencer on his HKS exhaust system and it removed the drone inside the cabin but still sounded great outside; no power lost was seen. He dynoed with and without the silencer and it showed no power lost.

You do realize that the Stillen, as well as many other exhaust systems for our car, do not have a N1 style muffler right? Therefore silencer inserts will not work.

Installing another muffler or resonator in the exhaust piping can help quiet it down a bit.
