Not real hard I would imagine, just a matter of having a big enough wrench/breaker bar.

Anyone know if our stock crank pullies are dampened/harmonic balancers?

Stock diameter though? What's the point? You aren't going to gain that much power through the weight reduction.

I've always stayed away from pullies on my cars. They seem to always have issues and only gain a few hp (even the smaller than stock ones).

Right. The only benefit is lower spinning weight i.e. lightweight flywheel.

Probably not.

So far for this car, it looks like you could throw about $4000 in aftermarket mods on it, and only net about 20hp.

There aren't enough people here with deep wallets and low expectations yet.

first off a couple pics.. as you can see compared to the mag this thing is huge, weight difference is stock is a little over 8 lbs and this one is 2 lbs so im losing 6lbs off of the turning ratio.

and now the quick review...didnt do the dyno after the install because per UR that results will show after 5-7 days or 200miles where maximum hp will be gained.
IT WAS A BISHH AND A HALF TO INSTALL nut was on so hard on, it says only 30 ft of tq thats less than a wheel nut. that was not the case. took like 2 hours and three broken tools until it was loose.

it was snowy out and still icy so i never got on it until i put about 50 miles on the car and just now coming home highway ramp was all salted and dried out. stopped vdc off shifted first. slip light hasnt been blinking this bad since idn. almost went sideways.
second pulled and third was like with boost. i dont know i still need clean stretchway and for it to breakin but so far. super power gains.

The bolt was so tight because its supposed to be a one time use bolt. It has a thread lock on it to prevent it from backing out from all the vibration of the engine. It doesnt require much torque to because once it heats up the sealant melts and acts like super glue within the threads. Once the bolt, or nut is taken off though, this sealant isnt effective. Ive done a few GM engines and all the crank bolts were this way. Ive never taken apart a VQ, but i would assume it would be the same principle since its a crank bolt.
