08 Sedan 6MT clutch recall?

I have had my 08 6MT sedan for about a week and the clutch is driving me crazy. There is absolutely no grabbing feel as I ease off the clutch in 1st gear. Is there any way to tell if this car is in need of the clutch recall?

Thanks!

cantact your dealer, they can tell by your VIN# or visit infinithelp.com and see if your VIN# falls under the recall list, that i doubt as you have the 2008.

I agree with kool yaar: I don't think the '08 6MT had the slave cylinder problem of the '07. But the lack of engagement release feel-- from what you describe--sounds like part of the effect of the slave cylinder fix. After I had it done, the clutch did have less of a grabby feel, less stiffness you might say, which many objected to.

Or try adjusting the seat. The engagement point is very high. So putting the seat back and slightly lower may give you a better feel for the release point.

It's just the way the clutch is designed. It doesn't have much feedback and it takes getting used to.

Some drivers adapt more easily than others. It all depends on personal preferance and previous experience.

Agreed. It took me longer than most cars to get used to the G35 but after a couple of days of bumper to bumper rush hour traffic, you pick it up with no problems.
