WOW. That is amazing. Definitely in for one. Can we just order the G37 Gen3 intake or should we wait for the G35 sku to show up on the website?

Well the Gen 2 cost close to $500, and seeing as how the Gen3 has a lot more tubing and materials being used, i dont see it being less than $500

Heh....I know the feeling. And yes, $489 is the cheapest you will see it (on sale right now). Not sure why everyone is having sticker shock though. I know it's not cheap, but the Injen is almost the same price, and according to the reviews and dyno numbers, it's an inferior intake. This car is fairly expensive to mod unfortunately.

Yes, for all that mandrel bent piping, it is going to cost more than your shorty intakes. bfranks makes a good point that Injen is in the same ball park. At least for me, I am going to rationalize it like this: if I invest the money, it's going to go down the tubes most likely. If I spend the money, it will help stimulate the economy. If money is tight for you, for sure don't buy it!

I'm totally in for this intake too, but I had a few quick questions for anybody that might know. 1, since you have to bore out of the radiator a bit to make it fit, will that affect anything else on the car or make it so you can't install another intake or the stock one later? 2, how much would you guess for an installation price? 3, how much of the sound on those vids was the intake and how much was his exhaust?

I hope I can help..

1. Just to confirm, you're not boring out the radiator, you're boring out the composite support brace, which already has a hole, it just needs to be slightly enlarged. This in no way affects any other intake or stock for that matter.

2. Our shop does the intake installation for I believe 2 hours, I'd have to verify that, but that seems about right.

3. A good portion of the sound from the video appears to be from the intake, especially as it's coming at you, but with all youtube-esq videos, it's up to the camera, etc.

Anyway...thanks for the write up and for volunteering for the test fitting.
I agree that this would look crazy with the new grill. Not sure if it wouldn't look crazy in a good way though!

On another note.. how do you change these filters? do you have to come through the wheel well or remove the grill?

I am really digging this and ready to see the dyno results.

You probably have to take off the radiator cover, unbolt the grille and it should be easy to change from there.

I'm not sure how im going to change my filters on the Injens though lol
Probably through wheel well.

Actually very easily.. just pop off the radiator shroud, and you'd have full access..

This seems to be the right intake for me. Those hp claims are huge but I def don't doubt they are at least somewhere in that range. Sound seems to be incredible too. Sounds like this is the intake I've been waiting for.

Nvm...saw the post above also that answered my question...as soon as its available though im ordering it.
