Stillen Gen 3 Intake Pics and Vids

So Stillen was looking for a donor car to test fit the Gen 3 Intakes for our 07-08 G35 sedans and I was lucky enough to have been chosen for the project. Dropped off the car 2 weeks ago and was finally able to pick it up 2 days ago.

You can see some of the chrome through the front grille which leaves spectators to wonder what the heck is going on under the hood. I think that aspect of the intake is really cool.

The car pulls harder, accelerates smoother, and is so much louder! The growl occurs at all RPM ranges it seems, and it screams from 3500 all the way to 7600 RPM. I need to mention once again how loud this thing is!

Also, I drove the car hard for about 10 min then popped the hood and felt the pipes and they were still cold. The pipes got progressively hotter as it got closer to the manifold but they remained cold near the filter up to about half way.

Minor drilling had to be done to the radiator mounting plate but other than that, its a direct bolt-on piece.

To all those considering this intake, I say buy it! It's worth every penny!

Hmm....contemplating that + this. Thinking it might be too visible. Might have to get the intake on and see what it looks like with no grill to get an idea.

Anyway...thanks for the write up and for volunteering for the test fitting.

Unfortunately I did not. Josh@Stillen will email them to me, and as soon as he does I will post the results on the forums.

The more I thought about it, your car sounds like American Muscle now.. lol Sounds like a V-8 when you were accelerating/passing on your video.

Is it loud even when your driving sedately? Or only when your flooring it?
