yea today I was driving my G sedan and I floored it and for some reason it went past 8k. It felt weird and it has never done this before usually it shifts before it gets near the red line. Has this ever happened to anyone else? I know it's not safe for the car, but then again flooring it often isn't either lol.
It might have looked like it because of the lag.
My car reaches 8K but i have a reflash that allows me too. It does lag and it looks like it passes 8K but it doesnt.
Once you reach 8K the car is screaming lol

That would be surprising, because it means the fuel cut didn't work. Are you sure it didn't just get close and freak you out? The tach probably isn't wildly accurate at that range.

OP did it cut out at that point?
or did the revs stay up?
If the car did reach up to 8K then why didnt it go past it. It made it all that way. If something was cut off and made the car to reach 8K it could've gone more to the point the transmission bails out, which my car has done once.
I'm guessing its needle bounce bro.
8000rpm is a long way to go. My car goes to 8000rpm and it freaks me out but i dont always reach 8000 because its hella scary lol
