Congrats on getting them installed man, glad you like them.
I'll probably get these in the near future but I'll wait it out till R2C get the hose issue resolved, which I'm sure they'll do soon.

Me too, but I hope its not too long. I might have to go with JWT if I start to get impatient.

I would think the Injens would be a better choice then the JWTs (assuming you don't get the R2C), no?

I asked R2C about this hose issue (as mine will ship in a week or so) and this person in particular was not aware of any hose issue with the intake.

He stated that he thought the stock hoses worked just fine, but if adding some custom hoses to the kit will make our installation easier he would do that.

Hey Kool - hows the intakes on the highway?

Say your cruising at 3k rpm ... which is about 120km/h.. which is I dunno.. 70mph/ish?

Is it loud? or sounds just like stock? Or is any kind of acceleration, wether moderate or gradual, will result in a loud noise past 3k rpm?

Or is this really only an issue past 4k rpm or when your at WOT?

I wouldnt like it to be noisy when im just cruising on the highway.

thanks.

Hey, Chapter29. I'm curious to hear how your install goes as well. My interest is certainly sparked.

I really was contemplated the Injen CAI but despite the extensive argument for it, I am still too worried about water getting in during intense weather.

I would have no peace of mind.

Hey wes, I know i dont' have the R2c ones but i think the intake noise should kick in around the same time, but if you are gentle on the throttle even at like 5 k it's pretty quiet it's WOT when you get the really loud WHhoooooommmmmp sound.

DrGee, why not get the hydro shields that injen make?the supposedly block off all water but not air.

Does it actually work? I thought, how can it block off water without reducing air flow even a little. Have you had any experience with it?

AND the CAI is a much more involved install process I believe.

Well no personal experience, but I know several people have the shield on the injens on myG37. I have no idea how it works, there was this demo i saw where they submerged it and it showed that no water got in, my guess it's something like mountain shoes gortech design or something. I mean even if it does reduce airflow a little, like you lose 1-2 hp i think it's worth it not to hydrolock.

I should've stated the new Injen short tube and not the long tube (sorry for the confusion).

K thanks Clement. So basically, your saying, intakes pretty much behave quite similar to one another then?
