That's a good question... I dunno
I just know the engine needs to be warmed up to make the Timing and Idle changes.
I suppose the easiest way to determine that would be to look at our thermostat details.

Usually the thermostat operates on 195 ish. Depends on the manufacturers of the car but around 195 ish.

I let the car warm up about 15 minutes and still nothing. I drove the cr around town, then tried it again and nothing. It seems that it can't read the temperature because the power pup maintains the temperature screen always at 0 degrees. I'm going to call Bullydog and see if I need to download another version. Anyways, the rest of the tune is fine and feels great. Its cool to watch the rpm limiter at 8K, haha.

I was just thinking about it on my way home tonight.
My car is running better and stronger than ever before.

I don't know exactly what I gained, but I do know one thing for absolute certain.
I friggen love the way my car runs, sounds and reacts right now.
I've been driving with the stereo off and the windows down, just so I can listen to it purr and growl.
She's a beast

I give a big fat green light to anyone looking to improve their G without the cost and custom tune of Cobb/UpRev
If I had a tuner local to me and a larger pocketbook, I most likely would not have gone this route. I had conversations going with both Cobb and UpRev when financial times got a little tough at home. This came to me at the right time. I figured, I'll do this for now and do something with bigger gains down the road. Now, I'm thinking I won't have too.

Bottom line, $300- very well spent.

Really, I haven't noticed the G37x being higher.
I'll have to check that out at my next dealer visit.

Hmm... I think the BullyDog offers a lot more bang for the buck. I mean, actual noticeable gains.
I reserve the right to change my answer once the Injens are in.

+1,000

Those BullyDog guys are going to make a killing with such positive feedback from the G community.

Still want to see some dyno runs so we can all get a solid idea of the gains.

Shift Points

Ok so I did some tests yesterday. I found that the shift points are exactly the same in both D and DS mode. THe car still shifts at about 7600.

However, in manual mode I can run it all the way to 8000 just like I have set.

Can anyone else absolutely confirm or deny that this is happening?

I left my shift points a little lower, down at 7700
I'd need to make a few changes in order to test that one out.

I'll need a few days if nobody else gets to it first

The car will be ready tomorrow. I wonder if the BullyDog Tune is still in the program.

Installed on an MT?

This has been asked a couple of times,
but since there was no reply I assume nobody has one installed on a MT?

I'd love to improve the throttle tip in on this car.
The lag from idle really sucks.

...btw, I knew I should never have looked at this thread

johnblaz2000, Did they say what caused the engine failure? Did they detect BullyDog?
