Depends on what you're looking for

I know that when I remove my tune, the car seems numb in comparison.
I don't know if it's the tune, the timing, the rev limit or what... but it's different.

Until I get a custom tune, I'm happy with it.... until I get a custom tune.

^"customer tune" lol, ya whs, its like the sprintbooster and blitz throttle control, they dont add any power but make the acc. sensitive and more responsive so your car "feels" faster, so im guessing in this case the power pup does something similar as well, while you might not see much dyno gain there might be improvements in how the power is delivered. hope this makes sense.

Hey im glad I found this post because I just purchased one yesterday from Autopartswarehouse.com for $398.72 with free shipping and 5% discount. That was with me paying for 2 day shipping for $15.15. I hope they already have the tune available but if not I will just go through the process. I started to buy the Hypertech but felt the Bullydog had more to off. Thanks for the info....

Hey guys I have a question? I have a 07 G35 coupe wit A/T. If they have already sent the tune and upgrades to someone with the same car then there shouldn't be any problems with tuning my vehicle when it comes right?

Technically, yes. But you may want to check the V35 section for anyone who has already tried it.

I don't have a dyno near me, but the locals guys do dyno-day meets once in a while. The next time one takes place, I'll be there. I don't mind driving 100+ miles if there's a meet at the other end of it.

In the meantime, I'm stuck using my butt dyno and watching for MPG results as well. I'm also hoping someone besides me makes it to a dyno. Seeing results from several people is better than seeing it from one person alone.
Yup. They make great products for diesels - had one on my Dodge 2500 4X4 some years ago and loved it. 400HP/700TQ makes for nice towing of my RV.

Moved on since then.

Bully Dog is a reputable company - still skeptical on this application though - I'm curious to see what a dyno says as opposed to a mass of butt dyno impressions. (haven't finished the thread yet) If it really produces 20/20 for $300, that's the find of the century for the G.

I think someone dynoed it already and it actually lost hp or something.

ok more official update. and looks like im the first to get this
got the power pup from bully dog.

you have to download upgrade software off their website. takes about 5 mins.

then plug in the uploader to the pc and update that to the current version. takes about 5 mins.

then plug it into the obd port on the car reads your engine map
and then begins to tune it.

after reading the map takes about 5 mins

it said that I needed to contact bullydog for a file update

(and depending on the ecu version in the car they have maps worked out.
Ive done a VQ35DE swap with a VQ35DE JDM motor from Japan with 44k miles. It has bank A and bank B VVTI replaced with G35 VVTI solenoid's. I have a brand new stock G35 fuel pump. I have headers with mahle OE Spec gaskets, high flow down pipes by MeaghanRacingCo. with anti-reverb O2 sensor trickers, a Y pipe by MeaghanRacingCo. 3 inch stainless mid-pipe with resonator, 3 inch stainless flow master muffler. Car also has a cold air intake.
The car starts and runs but is currently backfiring once every revolution of the crank. I have unhooked the mid-pipe to see if I was getting any gyration, but it's still backfiring.
Bully dog reads ECU EO#: D-512-7
Part# for bully dog GT: 40410

I want to increase the rev limited to 7500 and the top speed on the car I want to increase to 180mph.

Does anyone have the map for these mods to the car for the bully dog gt programmer?
I'm in a jam for time so I'm willing to pay for it

I am in a hurry to get this car on the road. I live in Las Vegas and I need to go up to Washington to see my ill father and I need to drive the car up there bc I don't have a trailer or $1000 to rent or buy one.
