Anyways, the rest of the tune is fine and feels great. Its cool to watch the rpm limiter at 8K, haha.
You need the new SW version - that'll let you change timing.

Just got the BD 44590 and received/downloaded ver. 1.2.2 G. It does not work. Contacted BD and they are supposed to come up with a new version for my part #. I was told to call them if I don't hear from them in 1 week.

Well, the wait sucks, but this is the correct and only way to do it.
Don't just throw any tune in and hope for the best.
Let Bullydog get your specific # from the ECU and let them tell you which version is for you.

I hated waiting almost 2 weeks for my tune, but the wait was SO worth it.

Hey AesonVirus, any ideas what are the differences between all these A-G releases?
Funny they've never got a request for my part # before.
I hope i won't have to wait 2 weeks!!!

I thought the different versions were just adding ECU#s to the running list.
So Version G list would contain all version F ECU#s + a few new ones.

Correct.
These are minor tweaks to allow the car to accept the tune.
There are no performance based differences between these versions

Crap, the blown engine posts are freaking me out - my #1 rule for the G is it has to start every time I push the button, even limited risk isn't worth it for a few additional HP. Went back to the standard tune, and just stuck with +2 timing (plus removing the speed limiter, and keeping the 7,800 rpm redline )

I know it's a really small sample that have had problems, am probably being overcautious.

^ has me wondering a bit as well.
That last one had other issues pre-BD.
Looking around the www I haven't come across anything bad about BD though.
Mainly software, same as here.

G35now: how do you go back to stock yet leave the speed limiter off ? I went stock today, and after that the only thing I could change was Timing I believe. I want it to be completely stock + 2 degree advance timing + speed limiter removed. I have the first 2 accomplished.

Thanks!

Going completely back to stock means you reset ALL 3: 1. the fuel-specific tune 2. rev limiter 3. speed limiter.
Degree timing and idle timing are separate options.

If you want to be stock, but without speed limiter, re-run BD PP and leave item #1 @ the standard tune, leave item #2 untouched and change item #3 to something too fast... so its basically like stock, but without speed limiter.

Hmmm, trying to remember. When I hooked up the BD, it went through the usual startup sequence, and I chose Settings or Options (whatever the top menu choice is - think it's Options). Then it took me through the sequence of 'choose your tune', click Y to edit speed limiter etc. So right now mine is stock tune + speed limiter at 168 (optimistic ), and rev limiter at 7,800.

P.S. It's great that the speed limiter's gone - I don't expect to ever get anywhere near max speed...but now I could...
