FI doesn't make an axle back, only Tanabe does. I think you'd have to get the midpipe custom made (I don't think anyone sells them by itself).

Ah! i thought i was getting confused. FI has the cat back on their site for about 1200 bones. is that as cheap as they go??

When I used to have the FI cat back by itself, it was pretty quiet during normal driving but noticeable when I stepped on it. You'll still be able to have a normal conversation in the car. As you know, the HFC will make it a little louder, but not by much. I would have done it, but I really wanted to keep the noise as low as possible.

Like you said, the youtube videos are a relative comparison and nothing will be as accurate as listening to one in person.

I also love the way they look...
^ In this pic the cans look to be slightly rotated (on an angle).

Just curious, is that an illusion, or is that the way they sit?

V ...In this one they seem to sit more level

Finally... someone older than me joins this thread!

They do sit with a slight angle on them.
They're adjustable but this is the way they came clamped and after hanging them, I liked the look so I went with it.

Today I had the FI exhaust (no HFCs) installed. OMG why did I wait this long to get it?

It's definitely nicer sounding that I thought it would be. Soundclips and youtube videos really don't do it any justice. Unfortunately, from inside the cabin, it's also louder than I expected (similar to AesonVirus' thinking...don't want to offend the wifey). So my question is will the exhaust quiet down after breaking it in for xxxx miles?

I also agree that it doesn't drone when you cruise (holding constant RPM) on the freeway, but you can definitely hear it when you accelerate. You can also hear it quite a bit when you're accelerating from stop or any lower speed. Furthermore, I can definitely feel a power increase. All in all, a great product! Thx Tony!

Let it break in and you'll be super happy with it.
Now, I can drive around normally and anyone in the cabin would have no idea I have an aftermarket exhaust on there.
Once I get on it though....

Glad you like it. I still love mine.

You should try to stand out by being different by buying an HKS exhaust, just like everybody else...

Oh wait, we're in the sedan section finally... then we'll just change the name to Stillen!

Mine has actually gotten louder since i installed it over the past 2 weeks. i was kind of expecting it to be louder though....

One question for you though, are your tips perfectly in the center of the cutouts? mine are both closer into the inside of the car and no matter how i rotate my cans i cant get it to move any farther into the center.

^ Mine is centered perfectly.

One thing I had to do was give it a tug with the slip joint snug but still a little loose.
..then finish tightening.

My left muffler tip is perfectly centered, but the right one is towards the center. I think it might related to the hanger welded on the muffler. I know most other people won't notice, but of course everyone is **** with their own cars.

Anyway, I will definitely try InTgr8r's tip (no pun intended) when I have the chance.
