Anyone with access to a wiring diagram, where to tap the RPM signal?

I'm looking into the KP tech's shift light module. I don't like the fact that in manual mode I have to actually look down to make sure I don't over-rev before shifting. The KP shift module will easily solve that, but one input needed is the RPM signal.

KP's online install manual states that the RPM signal can be tapped via this method:
Connect this wire (RPM input wire) to a signal in the vehicle that pulses from 0vdc to 5-12vdc with engine revolution. This signal may be found at: Crank Angle Sensor, Cam Angle Sensor, Fuel Injector, Ignition Module, Coil, Distributor, etc. The pulses per revolution are not important as the Shift
Light module is designed to work with any linear, constant pulsing signal.
This module will not work with negative voltage signals (ie -7vdc – 7vdc)

Any input will be appreciated.

I don't know if this helps, but my G-Tech gets that info from the power going through the lighter socket on the dash. Maybe you can tap into that?

standing in front of your car, it will be on your left. (passenger side) the side with the battery.

notice how that bank of coils is slightly closer towards the front of the vehicle? cylinder one will always be closest to the front of the engine. that bank is also called bank one.

I believe bank 2 is labeled. you will see numbers 2 4 and 6 on the right (drivers) side.

I see the coil you're talking about, but I'm thinking getting a wire from there back into the cabin is going to be a bitch to do.

Anyone else know where I can tap into inside the cabin?

well the ECU is located in the IPDM (intelligent power distribution module) which is located in the engine bay.
