Another Review - Injen SRI
UPDATED NOW WITH VIDEO
I was initially gonna post this under soundmike's Initial Review thread but I didn't want to jack it, so I just wanted to post pics here and give my initial thoughts here.
The fitment was great without any hassle, as to be expected from a short ram intake. My friend and I put it in two days ago and it took about 30 minutes to do.
The sound is amazing and certainly give the sedan a meaner growl when pushed. I reset the ECU removing the negative terminal from the battery method. The ECU is still adjusting at this point.
There is no lag noted from a stopped position. The sound is pretty amazing when you really press and go WOT. Under normal driving conditions, it sounds essentially like a stock intake, which is exactly the way I wanted it. I am not looking for unnecessary attention unless I want the attention.
As in terms of HP gains from my butt dyno, I sincerely doubt it. Right now, the car is responding a bit tighter but that may just be do to resetting the ECU. On the other hand, I certainly don't feel any HP loss, and like I said before, no notable lag.
I took a few pics below. I went with the black intakes as you can see. I ordered from Paul@US-Autotech and the service was great. Called them up and they shipped it out the same day. I know they have a thread in the marketplace now on our G35driver site so you don't have to go to the MyG37 to contact them any longer.
Of course, what I like about it the most was the pricing. I paid like $340 for the black ( a little more than the polished intakes) but still relatively cheap, especiallly when compared to the R2C intake.

They look and sound great!

Not the great video I could've created for recording the sound, but did the best I can. Thanks TeddYang for helping out.

hey awesome video! you can hear the intakes well enough =)
Your video is more relevant than others cuz you dont have an exhaust system. Unlike most, when they post vids of their intakes, its compounded with the exhaust, so its not a clear sound.
This is great! thanks!!!
