Nice work. Man I would have put the X right where the Y naturally merges. I think Hydrazine's XYZ pipe merges right there. How does feel hp/torque wise?

with my set up i found that off the line there wasn't much difference, maybe the car pulls a little bit better, but when i'm going 60 and floor it, it is much much better with the x.

I noticed that mid-range punch too but it's hard to tell if it's better as the VQ35 thrives in 3rd gear at about 60 mph.

hey Csquared how much did it cost you to weld that x-pipe? you think its worth it if im looking to gain some sound from this? obviously it'll yield some gain in power due to the restricted y-pipe.
btw the headlights i did it myself, such a pita to do. had to redo it twice cause i burnt out some led while installing the lense back on. now everything is good n worth everytime i spent on. total cost 50 bucks on parts, labor free.

It cost me 230 bucks around, that included the part.
Presonally I think it's totally worth it, I just love the sound my car makes now!

Yeah I'm scared of baking my headlight so i think i'll leave mine alone lol.

Go with Magnaflow Xpipe muffler. BTW - should of just bought FI or another aftermarket exhaust. The cost would be very close considering what you paid for your Tanabe plus the cost to take the Y out and install this. Plus the exhaust is larger in diameter and mandrel bent.

When i cut my Y and resonators out, I used SS Mandrel bent pipes, granted my pipes arent as large but i wanted to keep it smaller so i can cruise for hours without bleeding ear drums. My cat back cost me 800 bucks total installed.

i know i should have went with a diff exhaust, i did quite a few search before i purchase this and some people said its quiet and not too loud so the wifey/gf wont complain. which it is but i didnt thought it would really sound this low until i installed it.
i think going to follow Csquared and buy the managflow exhaust. this should give me what i want without spending too much money.
