High RPM Squeak !!! help
High RPM Squeak !!! help
I noticed that when my car gets close to redline, it has a squeaking noise kinda like that you get from a turbo at high RPMs. I tried revving the car in park and natural but its didnt make the noise.. it only happens when im driving under full load. It doesnt feel any different than it did before i noticed the noise.
anyone know what it can be?

u have an auto? is it during the shift?
use sport mode so it won't shift and see if it does it then.
call dealer, set up an appointment, so there is a record of you saying some thing is wrong.
so if ur mota falls out over a speed bump, there will be some kind of record that it was a problem before hand, go to the apt, see what they say.

eehhh good point,
you only have one belt, and it needs to be changed at around 30k, i changed mine myself.
so if ur close to 30, or over it, the belt will prob be stretched out a lil and the auto tensioner can only eat up so much slack
the belt was 30 at CAP auto, dealer wanted 150 to change it.

it was more of a pain in the *** cuz i have big hands, but it is simple.
helps to have another set of hands.
take off the coolant res on the top back of the radiator, bend back the tension arm and put a screw driver in the keyhole to hold it back, remove/replace belt, release tension arm, put back the res. and thats about it
takes 1/2 hour
removing the air boxes helps u see better
draw a map of the belt before you take it off, so you know how to put it back on.....
my belt was starting the have a few chunks missing out of it at 31k

Im just worried to take it to the dealer becuase i have mods and i dont want them to say they are causing it, even though there is not way that it can be caused by them. i have 10k so i dont think its the belts but ill take a look.
