Best V36 power mod for the $$ ??

Your inputs on best bolt-ons - exhaust, intake, etc. etc. - and any comparison results, dyno, time slips, etc?? This is for my daily driver, so cats stay on.

nitrous by far

boltons are a waste of money. buy better tires, suspension, or do weight reduction. all better bangs for your buck

Nitrous over time can cause engine wear and is only useful at WOT.

I have to agree that the Bully Dog offers the most bang for the buck. There are other tuners out there that can squeeze a few extra HP out of the engine, but they also require 2-3 times the cost (and custom tunes)
The BD installs in a few minutes and the change is noticable right away.

Now, I also agree that there are other performance mods that offer a great deal of value. As said above, brakes, suspension, tires, etc... but the question was for "Power Mods"

you could change out the rear gear to a higher ratio, but i havent heard of any sedan members doing that. Bully dog is pretty good. i would go with that.

Ummm Isn't TT the best bang for the buck? For 10 K you can get to like 500+hp. so thats like 200 Hp for 10k umm That's 50 bucks per Hp. I know TT ain't Technically a bolt on lol.

/\... but that's a lot of buck for the bang.
For those of us without bottomless wallets (like Terry ), we need to find more realistic ways to squeeze power out of our cars.
I also wonder if my AWD setup could even handle that much HP or if I'd end up with an onslaught of issues down the road. I would certainly love Terry's setup though.

As for power mods I think an exhaust and a new pulley system will definetly make good power and to bring all that power together a good tune us needed

The BD is it an intake? Is this what your taking about?

AV, are you still running the premium tune and timing advance?

Yeah, that's it. You have a few options with it, but I'm running the premium tune with a 2 degree advance on the timing. You can also tweak your shift points and top speed. I haven't gotten the car onto a dyno yet, but the butt noticed more change than my exhaust or intakes ever provided.
I hope to have some dyno results soon though.

BD's explanation of the Premium tune...
*Premium: This engine tune is recommended for use with 91 or 93 octane gasoline. This tune can be used for everyday driving, towing and racing. Dynamometer testing results have shown up to 22 horsepower and 24 ft.-lbs torque increase, on the premium tune, to the rear wheels.

Again, I don't have concrete proof of this yet, but 22 hp to the wheels ain't bad for $300-$400, IMO. ($13-$18 per WHP)

More power to you (pun intended ) - I switched back to just timing advance until I see the F/A ratios from someone's dyno.

The BD does sound like the best bang for the buck. All I am waiting for at this point is a dyno and if all is like it sounds I will be all over it as well.
