JWT clutch installed

OK so its in and first impressions is its much different than the original, havent driven much just around the block will update more later tonite or tomorow. It definitly feels stronger than the stock one did but ive been driving on a worn clutch for a while so mayb its just stronger than the worn lol...also it seems liek its gonna take a lil getting use to.

I do have an issue that when i hit the accelerator i hear a grinding sound which is wierd also the dealership said theres a humm when started because the flywheel probably dint fit properly wondering if anyone could chime in with some info on that?

I'd get all the sounds and problems documented really early at the install shop, so if/when it fails. You can point out saying "hay I told u there was a problem with your install"

I'm interested in ur findings on if it's dirrerent then stock, or just a not worn feeling,

Let us know,
good luck with it

if you just installed the clutch onto the stock flywheel you shouldn't get any "grinding" noise...something is up.

If you got the clutch and flywheel on the other hand, the "grinding" noise is probably clutch chatter and is normal since JWT doesn't use a 2 piece flywheel like the oem one.
When your foot is on the clutch, does it still sound like a grinder?

its a grinding when i dont have the foot on hte pedal, i have the entire jwt kit so it does have the flywheel will that chatter damage nething?? and any thoughts on that it might be the throw-out bearing? Though i thought they were suppose to change it with my csc change...

btw... the new clutch is really nice its kinda hard to get into first i feel like im learning all over again, but it walks into everyother gear pretty easily, the engagement point is in the middle rather than at the tip so idk its a lil different not sure if its better or not yet but im deffinitly pleased havent really gotten a change to open it out and give some speed yet.

Clutch chatter with aftermarket flywheels is pretty normal for almost all cars. As annoying as it may be, you'll get used to it... but make sure it isn't anything else as things may get worse if it is.

It's normal, stop stressing yourself out about it. Up load a video if you're that adamant on thinking it isn't chatter.

Normal to hear chatter with clutch engaged (foot off clutch pedal)
Most of the chatter should go away when you disengage the clutch (push the clutch pedal)

Here's a clip of what chatter sounds like.

Completely normal to hear the "cement mixer" sound when the pedal is up and the car is in neutral. Goes away when you push in the clutch. My 04 with the JWT clutch/ flywheel did it. It was only slightly louder than my 07 6mt with the stock clutch.
