It was all they had at the store. The computer says it fits but First hand experience is often more valuable for something like this.
The main thing is the terminals. You need a "reverse" terminal battery. The leads are to short for the other way.

speak on battery's dying, after coming back from a 2 week business trip I came to start the car with no luck, battery was dead.

I changed it a few days back and everything back to normal, and the original Nissan battery was $hit to say the least, it was leaking battery acid all over the place when I came to change it out.

it did last 2 and half years so I'm not complaining that much

will autzone test be able to tell me if the battery should be replaced before it dies?

Wow Li Photo, you have gotten some pretty good life out of that battery. I'd replace it because I'd hate wondering all the time when its gonna die on me. But then again I guess you could get it tested. Live on the edge, see how long it last!!!

yeah, from experience OEM batteries usually last 3-4 years max so i think my battery could go any day now. I'll probably be proactive and have it replaced before it dies.

how is Nissan battery horrible?
I have a stock 2003 nissan battery, I only had to change it once in 2010. when my car takes a couple more seconds to start I had my battery checked by an electrician, said battery cells are about to go. so I change my battery and the guy at the service said wow a stock nissan battery lasted that long! and to think it was still running prety good, only because it took seconds longer to start I had it checked.

had my 60K service done today and was told my battery failed the charge test so i had it replaced with diehard gold. guess my gut feeling was right, 4 years on OEM, time to replace!

Big thanks to soundmike for the great DIY write-up on how to replace the battery. everything on the Infiniti is so much harder than regular cars with all the protective things all around, LoL!

You have to keep in mind that the 03 G's didnt have as much electronic drain as our G's and 2-3yrs on our fully loaded G's is typical depending on how much the battery is used when the car is on the ON position which reduces life of course....

My first two OE batteries didn't last a year before they started dying in the winter if left for just a few days in the garage. With the Samsclub battery and changing the vent control valve, I'm going on 2+ years now with not even a hiccup.

I'm on the original 3.5 years in. Should I just drop some money now to avoid a future headache?

Go to a battery shop and have it load tested.

It's been working great all winter, but I'd rather drop 100 now, then deal with a no start out of the blue.

I just changed my OEM Battery after 5 Yrs! It's mostly a weekend driver. But that pretty good for the Nissan OEM Battery! It never died on me, like after 2 weeks on sitting in the garage...it would sort of crank kinda slow...but then it started to crank even slower after only a week in the garage...so decided to change it out with a Yellow Top Optima. GUess I was one of the lucky ones to have my OEM Batt last as long. COuld have went more if I drove the car everyday... But never like take the chance so I changed it out.
