Another GCC spec-only option

I was pointed out a while ago that the G's don't have a finned diff cover (both V36 sedan and coupe). Yet I when I took a look under the car today I noticed this>

GCC Spec G's have FINNED differential covers!

Looking back at all the exhaust and sway bar threads it seems like this not available in the states.

For the US guys, here's a Nismo option which you can probably install >

The Nismo unit has more/larger fins than our factory part which should help dissipate heat even more It should be a direct fit assuming all V36's have the same differential case.

Very interesting, something i never noticed, will have to check this out. You guys probably have it because the temps and conditions there are much hotter and humid.

Definitely, but then again it means you guys have more factory options that can be purchased and installed without voiding the warranty or having fitment/performance issues.

Yeah mine's finned as well, never knew it wasn't stock on the US model, does it help with cooling or something?

it acts like a heatsink to drive heat away from the diff. More surface area = more heat dissipation. Air cooled engines use this design.
