Yep. Stillen has nothing on the finish of the Tanabe as far as the mufflers go. Tanabe is a work of art. Beautiful welding, nice chrome finish, etched "medallion" on tips.

Bought mine for $593 shipped on amazon. Fit was perfect

Ive seen both And tanabe isn't any different from he quality of stillen. If you search the the forums more you'll see people prefer stillen or FI over most brands for sedan. Btw it's not a chrome finish it's stainless steal with burnt tips. You can find it cheaper than amazon plus I don't trust amazon for car parts like that plus warranty usually isn't honored from amazon.

Tanabe? It's looks chrome to me and it doesn't have burnt tips. I think u are referring to invidia.

Yes the Crome would come off, it's stainless steel, I know the stillen (and most other exhausts) are for sure. Tanabe u can get burnt tips too unless they stopped selling them

so what actually needs to be "modified" to get the Invidia to fit an AWD?

The passenger side cat pipe will have to be cut and a new pipe bent to clear the transfer case. Not hard to do really. Mandrel bent pipe can be bought online. Then you just need to get the vehicle on a lift so a welder can fab the new pipe.

Yes. I'm referring the catback pipe on the passenger side. The pipe between the cat and the X merge.

Just to give people an idea, i have had my Stillen Exhaust on my 2007 G35x sedan for over 15,000 miles and it sounds amazing. Its broken in nicely and has a nice little pop when theres back pressure. Fitment is great and for being on Ohio durring the winter with that solution to make the snow melt, its actually done pretty well with corroding and rusting.

All in all I think its one of the top exhausts for the Sedan with AWD

Fyi for those who are still looking, member audiophool has an FI system with special y-pipe for AWD second gen sedan at a very reasonable price.
